Jessica Anthony,
Film Production

Jessica Anthony has a broad production background spanning live action, animation, and visual effects. With over 15 years experience working in New York, Seattle and San Francisco, she has produced award winning content for studios such as Protozoa, Wild Brain, Teak Digital, Special Agent Productions, and Claypoint Productions. Anthony also has a strong background in the non-profit sector where she managed the International Children’s Digital Library, a groundbreaking project of the Internet Archive. Most recently, she managed the San Francisco Film Society’s FilmHouse program, a filmmaker residency program with a strong professional development component. Anthony studied literature and film at Boston University and the University of Oregon.

Max Giella,
Executive Assistant/Scheduler

Max Giella earned his BA in Business Administration from the University of San Diego and upon graduation, worked on Jeanne Shaheen’s campaign for U.S. Senate as a field organizer and subsequently her Senate office in New Hampshire as the Senator’s in-state scheduler and Special Assistant for Constituent services. Giella left the Senator’s office to work at Fidelity Investments as a Financial Professional, servicing High Net Worth Clients while pursuing his MBA part time at the University of New Hampshire. Giella values equality, justice, and compassion in a society and makes an effort to contribute to that ideal. When Giella isn’t spending time with his friends or jogging along the Marina Green, he’s watching movies and television, reading newspapers and magazines, drinking coffee, or following his hometown Boston sports teams.

Jennifer Siebel Newsom,
Founder & CEO

Jennifer Siebel Newsom is a filmmaker, speaker, former actress, advocate for women, girls, and their families, and a mother of young children. Newsom wrote, directed, and produced the 2011 Sundance documentary Miss Representation, which explores how the media’s misrepresentations of women contribute to the underrepresentation of women in positions of power and influence. In response to the film, Newsom launched MissRepresentation.org, a call-to-action campaign and media organization established to shift people’s consciousness, inspire individual and community action and ultimately transform culture so everyone, regardless of gender, age or circumstance can fulfill their potential. Newsom is also an executive producer of the Academy Award nominated documentary The Invisible War, which exposes the epidemic of rape in the U.S. military. Newsom received both her B.A. and M.B.A. from Stanford University. She resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband, California Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom, and their young children. Dani Fishman,
Special Projects Manager to the CEO

Dani Fishman holds a BA in Sociology with an emphasis in Social Change from the University of California, Berkeley and a Masters in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco. She spearheaded the planning and development of a nationally recognized College Access program that provides educational guidance and financial support to low-income, first-generation college-bound students. Fishman has worked as a social worker, counselor and academic advisor with marginalized youth and families through the San Francisco Unified School District and the City of Oakland.

Jessica Lee,
Distribution and Corporate Partnerships

Jessica Lee received her MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and her BA in Anthropology, Phi Beta Kappa, from Georgetown University. She has diverse cross-sector experience in social change, marketing and program management. Lee began her career supporting social entrepreneurs and young leaders at Ashoka and New Sector Alliance. Prior to joining MissRepresentation.org, she served as a marketing consultant to brands with a social and environmental mission. She is passionate about changing systems to allow each individual—especially girls—to reach their full potential.

Imran Siddiquee,
Social Media and Communications

Imran is a founding staff member of the organization. He holds a BA in English and Philosophy from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Prior to joining The Representation Project he helped organize youth and community service programs in the Bay Area. His passions include feminism, screenwriting and watching lots of movies.

Amy Zucchero,
Development and Non-Profit Partnerships

Amy is a founding staff member of the organization. She holds both a BA in History from University of California Santa Barbara and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Prior to joining the MissRepresentation.org team, Amy spent seven years with the Women’s Funding Network, a global association of women’s foundations investing in women-led solutions. She currently serves on the board of World Action for Humanity, a non-profit dedicated to raising resources and awareness for grassroots projects in East Africa.

Jan Yanehiro,
Board Chair

Jan pioneered the magazine format on television as co-host of “Evening Magazine,” a nightly program in San Francisco that ran for 15 years on KPIX TV-CBS5. Currently she is the Director of the School of MultiMedia Communications at the Academy of Art University, San Francisco. She has hosted six documentaries on the redress and relocation issues of Japanese Americans during World War II. Jan has won multiple awards including an Emmy and the Eleanor Roosevelt Humanitarian Award. She is the mother of six (three of her own and three step-children), holds seats on several boards including the Kristi Yamaguchi Always Dream Foundation and The Bank of Marin. Her latest book is titled, “This Is Not The Life I Ordered…50 Ways To Keep Your Head Above Water When Life Keeps Dragging You Down.”

Geralyn Dreyfous,
Secretary

Geralyn has a wide background in the arts and philanthropy. She founded the Philanthropic Initiative in Boston, which guides families of wealth in strategic giving opportunities, and co-taught documentary writing at Harvard University. Dreyfous served as Executive Producer of the 2004 Academy Award-winning documentary Born Into Brothels about children of Calcutta prostitutes. She is also an Executive Producer of Miss Representation and The Invisible War. She is the Board Chair of the SLC Film Center and Utah Coalition for Film and Media. In 2007, she co-founded IMPACT Partners Film Fund, which has financed over 25 films.

Christine Wilcox

Christine holds a BA in International Relations from Stanford University and an MA in Spanish Literature from the University of Montana. Christine was a part of the founding team at MissRepresentation.org serving from 2011 through 2013 as the Director of Distribution and CFO. Prior to working for MissRepresentation.org, Christine helped found and manage several start-up companies. She also has extensive experience in sales and customer service, primarily working out of Latin America.

Regina Kulik Scully,
Vice Chair

Regina is a 28-year communications veteran and founder of RPR Marketing Communications, a premier public relations firm representing clients such as Johnson & Johnson, Neutrogena, and Aveeno. Her work with young women in the beauty industry led her to found CareerPeeks, a non-profit focused on expanding career options for young women. She executive produced Miss Representation and the Academy Award nominated The Invisible War. She also produced Boyhood Shadows, a documentary about male survivors of child molestation. Kulik Scully received her BS in Foreign Languages and Theology from Georgetown University.

Susie McCormick,
Treasurer

Susie has been in the publishing industry in San Francisco for over 30 years. She was one of the first female magazine publishers in the City and Regional magazine field. She has served as Publisher of San Francisco Focus Magazine and Where Magazine. She is currently Publisher Emeritus of the city magazine, 7X7, which she helped launch in 2001. She has served on the Boards of the Junior League of San Francisco, the City and Regional Magazine Association and the San Francisco Convention and Visitor Bureau. She is a past Chairman of the Board of the SFCVB. She is on the advisory committee of the San Francisco Film Festival, and the Make a Wish Foundation. Susie and her husband Jeff Brody live in Pt. Reyes Station. They have two children and four grand children.
